Passionate About London

Flight booked, 36 hours later and it’s time to buckle up and take off.

The night before I made a quick dash to Uniqlo (always wondered who actually bought the heavy coats from there when it’s 32 degrees most days in Singapore and now I know) to stock up on warm clothes ready to endure the forecasted 2 degree days.

Having previously lived in London for five years, I was keen to visit my most cherished places: Alexandra Palace, Harrods (of course, even just for the food court), the Tate Modern, the V & A and a trip to Shaftsbury Ave for the theatre.

I have to say that London has not changed a whole lot since being back here last time almost three years ago; slightly pricier, Moorgate Station is still under construction and Londonites still walk just as fast. Although I have noticed that Londoners have finally started embracing healthier eating habits. Health food shops have popped up everywhere and are no longer limited to just ‘Pret’ and ‘Eat’.

London has a charm about it like no other city, full of dreams and hope, inspiration and creativity. It makes you want to be a better person and to take advantage of everything that life throws at you, whether it be positive or negative. I moved to London when I was 21 and it will forever be my second home.

They sell a great range of tulle fabrics. After offering to make my bestfriends veil for her upcoming nuptuals, I made a project out of it, searching high and low for the perfect fabric!

Hydration tip: Spray Dermalogica Ultra Calming Mist on your face and neck every one to two hours during the flight. Your skin will love you for it and it will avoid your face becoming dry from the harsh air conditioning
