Delicacy
By David Foenkinos
What a rubbish book. Save yourself the precious time and throw it in the bin before attempting to read it.
The writing style reminded me of 50 Shades of Grey (yes I read it…), quite immature and simple.
The only reason I picked this book up is because it won so many French awards (originally it was written in French then translated into English) so I was intrigued.
To give you a gist (I’ll try to unbiased) boy meets girl, boy dies after they get married.
Girl has a job and girl gets hit on by her boss. Girl gets another boyfriend. And that’s basically it. I skimmed through most of it because it’s uninteresting and boring.
I gave it a one out of five. Not a good read and therefore not a recommended one.
