Leaving Time
By Jodi Picoult
You can always rely on Jodi Picoult for an easy and enjoyable read. Good for holidays and if need something light you can wiz through, Leaving Time is just that. Full of intrigue, twists and turns, it will keep you guessing right up to the very last page. Picoult always ensures there are real issues that can be debated about and looks at them through several different angles.
I’ve never read books about psychics, ghosts and the like but I couldn’t put this down. It captures my attention so much and rushed through it in just six days.
Thirteen year old Jenna Metcalf is determined to find out what happened to her mother, Alice who disappeared from her life when she was just three years old. Alice was a scientist who studied elephants in Botswana, Africa from there she went to New England Elephant Sanctuary. Using the help of a psychic, Serenity Jones and Virgil Stanhope, a former detective that initially worked on the case, Jenna digs deeper and deeper into her past trying to find the answers that have been long forgotten.
I compelling read that I highly recommend and gave five stars.

-
If you think about someone you've loved and lost, you are already with them. The rest is just details.
-
Maybe growing up is just focusing on what you’ve got, instead of what you don’t
-
You can’t blame someone if they honestly don’t understand that their reality isn’t the same as yours
